Poi Kalyan Complex

About

Bukhara's main architectural ensemble at the foot of the Kalyan Minaret — the 46.5-metre symbol of the city, built in 1127. The complex includes the Kalyan congregational mosque and the still-active Mir-i-Arab Madrasah. The square is free to enter; visiting the mosque requires a ticket. Especially atmospheric at sunset and under the evening lights.
